About the Role
The Connect Team enables seamless integrations between external vendor ecosystems and Riskified’s comprehensive product portfolio - including Chargeback Guarantee, Dispute Resolve, and Policy Engine.
We build high-performance connectors, apps, and APIs that bridge third-party services (Payment Gateways, Return Vendors, eCommerce Platforms, and CRMs) directly into our platform. By extending our platformic integration layers and introducing cutting-edge AI and agentic solutions, our team drastically simplifies merchant onboarding and accelerates integration velocity across thousands of global eCommerce merchants.
This role requires strong technical execution paired with a deep understanding of our business domain to deliver frictionless, highly reliable onboarding experiences.
What You'll Be Doing
- Build Integration Infrastructure: Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable APIs, connectors, and integration layers connecting third-party platforms to Riskified's product suite.
- Drive AI & Automation: Introduce and implement AI and agentic solutions into product onboarding flows to maximize speed, accuracy, and automation for merchants.
- Embrace Modern Workflows: Actively utilize agentic coding tools and AI-assisted workflows to boost team development velocity and code quality.
- Bridge Tech & Business: Partner with Product, Design, and Domain experts to translate complex risk, dispute, and policy business logic into elegant software architecture.
- Ship to Production Daily: Maintain modern CI/CD pipelines, deploying high-quality code daily and taking strong end-to-end ownership of service reliability and performance.
- Active part in planning the team roadmap and products
Qualifications
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent certifications
- 3+ years of proven experience in hands-on server-side coding
- Proven experience with server-side development languages, such as TypeScript, Scala, Java, C#, or Kotlin
- Hands-on experience in a recent frontend framework (React, Vue, etc.) - advantage
- Proven experience in full-stack development, with proficiency in both frontend and backend technologies
- Strong business context orientation with the capacity to understand domain workflows in risk, fintech, or eCommerce
- Demonstrated experience building APIs, microservices, and integration layers with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and cloud services (AWS/GCP)
- Passionate about leveraging AI coding assistants and agentic tools in daily development workflows
- Experience incorporating LLMs or agentic frameworks directly into customer-facing products - advantage
- Independent self-learner, proactive problem solver, and strong team player
We include transparent salary ranges to support fairness, clarity, and informed decision-making early in the process. The base salary range for this position is €50,000 - €75,000 gross annually for candidates based in Lisbon. Your actual salary will be determined based on your unique skills, experience, and competencies. If your expectations differ, please let us know - we’re always open to a conversation.
The base salary is one part of the total compensation package at Riskified. All full-time regular employees receive a bonus target and are eligible to receive stock-based awards.
