Riskified Partners with Japanese Fashion Retailer Adastria’s Group Company, and ST Co., Ltd., to Enhance Fraud Detection and Boost Ecommerce Sales

Riskified’s AI-driven solution drives higher approval rates for Adastria by providing risk analysis for 3D Secure

and ST Co., Ltd, a subsidiary company of Japan’s third largest fashion retailer Adastria, has selected Riskified (NYSE: RSKD), as its partner for ecommerce fraud protection and risk intelligence. Riskified brings significant sector expertise, with a merchant network that includes many of the largest global fashion brands and retailers. The partnership with and ST Co.,Ltd. builds on this foundation and reflects Riskified’s momentum in Japan’s domestic ecommerce market.

Adastria, the company behind bringing popular lifestyle brands like GLOBAL WORK, LAKOLE and niko and … to the Japanese market, faced a familiar challenge – maintaining strong fraud protection while reducing friction at checkout. This new deployment supports Adastria’s efforts to strengthen its ecommerce business in Japan and address the evolving domestic payment authentication landscape. Previously, the company enforced 3D Secure (3DS) authentication across all ecommerce orders, a strategy that helped deter fraud but deteriorated conversion rates and customer experience.

Working with Riskified, and ST Co,.Ltd. obtained approval from acquiring banks to develop and implement a flexible 3D Secure application, which limits 3DS to only necessary transactions while also maintaining security. In addition to real-time AI fraud analysis, Riskified provided expert consulting on fraud detection strategies along with commercial conversion simulations to help align and ST Co., Ltd’s business objectives with compliance requirements.
